Did you know?
By now, your habit building muscle is only growing stronger, and you’re likely tapping into more physical + mental benefits of breathwork. Breathwork is incredible because it’s a practice we perform consciously and unconsciously, and as such, allows us to access our involuntary system so we can directly influence our nervous system. And what’s even more amazing is how this practice changes your brainwaves and the state of your mental health.
From a mental standpoint, breathwork gives you access to:
A clearer mind, which enhances focus
Increases creativity and lateral thinking
Decreases anxiety; calms a racing mind
Greater presence + awareness

If not, highly recommend switching things up and pairing breathwork with your morning or evening walk. It’s a delicious change of pace.

This session has just enough guidance to keep you walking, to the beat, while you breathe at your own pace.
Because at the end of the day, one of the primary “goals” of breathwork is to decrease how much we’re breathing in our day-to-day lives. Essentially, we want to take fewer breaths per minute, to optimize the way this vessel is designed to work.

Breathe + Learn 💭
In this episode of Be Well by Kelly, Robbie and Kelly explore the breathwork protocols to breathe vitality back into your daily routine and even into your interpersonal relationships. Robbie shares how breathwork can be the perfect sober-curious activity. And, the way practices like breathwork and hot + cold therapy can assist with integrating transformative experiences and just serve as overall support with your journey of creating lasting behavioral change.
Check out this episode from two legends, Dr. Andrew Huberman + Dr. Jack Feldman, on the science of breathing for health and performance. Dr. Feldman is a leading expert in the science of respiration, so even if you’re a breathwork aficionado, chances are you’ll learn a lot. We know we did. They dive into the way breathing influences things like mental sate, fear, memory, reaction time. And, they jam over techniques like box breathing, cyclic hyperventilation, discuss why we need to breathe through our nose more often, and oh so much more.

A Month of Presence
If you’re reading this, you know more than most just how powerful breathwork is. As a practice, breathwork reconnects us to our breath, to our bodies, to our thoughts + emotions, to the here and now.
But we live in modern society. We hold our breath when we’re tense. We’re staring at our phones and don’t realize the streetlight changed. We’re so mind-heavy that we can miss what’s happening around us.
Sometimes, all we need is a gentle reminder…. a little nudge that brings us back into a state of awareness, back to our practice.
This is why we’ve partnered with Immerse Yourself — to offer daily contemplation prompts to guide you back to a state of Presence.
These messages are designed to weave your practice into your everyday life. Each prompt is created to inspire a moment of awareness, a moment of consideration, a moment you recognize you can shift your habitual response.
